Crypto Payment Firm Wyre Announces Withdrawal Restrictions

Wyre, a cryptocurrency payment startup, has just announced it has changed its the withdrawal policy. Now, the service users will be able to withdraw no more than 90% of the deposit on the account, taking into account daily limits.
According to the announcement:
“Working for the community is a top priority and we are exploring strategic options for our company that will allow us to navigate the current market environment.”
The current daily withdrawal limits are 5 BTC, 50 ETH, and 20,000 for DAI, USDC and WETH, whereas for fiat, the corresponding limit is set at $150,000 or approximately the same amount in other currencies.
Wyre co-founder and CEO Ioannis Giannaros has allegedly warned employees about the possible closure of the business.
