Hong Kong Finalizes Licensing Regime for Crypto Industry

Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan has recently announced that the country is ready to accept cryptocurrency companies from all over the world.

According to him, the authorities have recently finalized a licensing regime for the industry. In accordance with the rules, crypto companies are subject to the requirements that apply to the traditional financial sector.

Accelerator G-Rocket announced last month that it would help 1,000 Web3 startups start businesses in Hong Kong over the next three years. The company launched the Hong Kong Web3.0 Hub initiative in November following the government’s announcement of a desire to develop the virtual asset industry.
