A Hacker Sends Phishing Emails to The Sandbox Users

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Sandbox has issued a warning to users about a phishing attack that happened on February 26. An unknown person gained access to an employee’s work computer and sent fraudulent emails with malicious links to platform users.

The security department quickly sent out a warning, the hacked computer was formatted, and the employee’s credentials were reset and changed.

The attacker only had access to users’ email addresses, and no one has reported financial losses. To stay safe, the developers recommended strengthening security systems and using a trusted antivirus, as well as refraining from following suspicious links.

This follows a similar warning from the developers of the MetaMask crypto wallet in February.
