Reading Time: < 1 minute

An address that obtained 2,000 Ether in Ethereum’s initial coin offering eight years ago recently transferred 641 Ether out, equal to almost $1.2 million.

Lookonchain reported that the address was staking the funds. At the time of the ICO, the 2,000 Ether was worth roughly $0.31 per coin – now it is worth over $3.72 million.

Other Ethereum ICO participants have awoken this summer and made transactions, with one person transferring 61,216 ETH – worth over $116 million – to Kraken in June.

In May, another person transferred $15 million and, prior to that, a significantly smaller amount in April.
