Bulgarian national Irina Dilkinska has been sentenced to four years in prison by the Southern District of New York court for her involvement in the OneCoin web3 initiative and its corresponding cryptocurrency.

As part of her sentence, she must surrender $111,440,000 and be under supervised release for one month, as stated by the United States Department of Justice.

Dilkinska served as the project’s Head of Legal and Compliance, but instead of upholding the law, she was involved in money laundering and other financial crimes.

One example of this is when she transferred $110 million in illegal proceeds from OneCoin to an entity in the Cayman Islands.

US Attorney Damian Williams stated that Dilkinska’s actions were a blatant disregard for ethical conduct, as she aided in the exploitation of millions of victims instead of fulfilling her role as Head of Legal and Compliance.
