Hashkey Group, an Asia-based company that offers financial services for cryptocurrency, has obtained approval from the Central Bank of Ireland through its division in Europe (Hashkey Europe) to become a registered virtual asset service provider (VASP).

The registration allows Hashkey Europe to offer services such as custodian wallet management and cryptocurrency trading, according to a statement released on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

According to the company, this marks Hashkey Group’s first VASP license that complies with the EU’s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5), demonstrating its commitment to building a global Web3 ecosystem while adhering to strict regulatory standards.

Obtaining the VASP license in Ireland is an important move in strengthening Hashkey Group’s presence in key international markets as part of its global expansion strategy.

The company has established itself as a trusted global leader in the virtual asset industry by obtaining licenses in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Bermuda, before receiving clearance as a VASP in Ireland.
