CBOE Files Application to Trade Fidelity’s Solana ETF

Fidelity Investments has officially filed an application with the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) to launch a Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF).

This ETF aims to track Solana’s price performance using the Fidelity Solana Reference Rate, adjusted for expenses and liabilities, following the recent establishment of the Solana Fund in Delaware.

Solana’s capability to handle hundreds of transactions per second, along with its support for DeFi protocols, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and distributed apps (dApps), makes it attractive to investors and developers.

Fidelity’s move may encourage other major asset managers like BlackRock to join in, potentially boosting Solana’s price and acceptance to new levels.
