Amid Historic ETH Staking Rush, Bitwise Reportedly Acquires $2.2B Staker Chorus One

In a move that capitalizes on the explosive demand for crypto yield, Bitwise Asset Management is reportedly acquiring the institutional staking firm Chorus One. The deal, reported by Bloomberg on Wednesday, brings a platform with $2.2 billion in staked assets under Bitwise’s management.

The acquisition underscores the intense institutional and retail competition for staking rewards. Current Ethereum network data vividly illustrates this trend: the validator entry queue has ballooned to over 4 million ETH, forcing a 70-day wait, while nearly 37 million ETH (over 30% of supply) is now actively staked.

Financial terms remain undisclosed. By absorbing Chorus One’s major operation, Bitwise significantly strengthens its position as a comprehensive service provider during a pivotal period of network growth and yield-seeking behavior.
