Whale Alert, a tracking service for large crypto transactions, has just reported that a dormant Bitcoin wallet that had not shown any activity since 2013 has been activated over the past eight hours.

The value of the wallet, which holds 321 Bitcoins, has grown from $6,594 to a whopping $15,103,046 after 8.8 years. At the moment, the balance has grown by about 2,290 times.

Twitter users believe different options are possible here – from the decision of a patient investor to sell part of his/her BTC to the likelihood that someone has just remembered the password words.

In 2021, several Bitcoin wallets created between 2011 and 2013 with tens of millions of US dollars in Bitcoin were activated.
