Trading app Robinhood has just added support for Solana, Polygon, Compound and Shiba Inu, according to the announcement made by the company on its blog.
While users can only buy and sell these crypto assets, deposits and withdrawals will appear later. The firm has reported:
“In the past year, our customers have consistently asked for two things: the ability to send and receive their own coins, and a wider choice of cryptocurrencies. In response to the first request, we have already activated crypto wallets for everyone who was on the waiting list – that is, more than 2 million people. Now we are happy to tackle the next item.”
Steve Quirk, Chief Brokerage Officer at Robinhood, has noted that when choosing coins at Robinhood, they were judged against a “strict set of rules.” According to him, the platform should remain a safe and educational space.
