Francis Gowen, a delegate and participant in the Aave DeFi community, as well as a protocol specialist at Flipside Crypto, has launched a Temperature Check procedure to integrate Coinbase’s Base 2 solution into Aave v3.

The process involves collecting feedback from the community, and if high activity is observed, further discussion and assessment of risk parameters will take place before the proposal is put to a final vote.

Gowen believes that integration of Aave v3 with Base will result in significant revenue streams and will provide access to a large user base.

According to Gowen, 18,000 specialists have already deployed 55,000 smart contracts on Base’s testnet. This coincides with the Uniswap community’s similar initiative the week before.

Furthermore, Coinbase launched its mainnet in March 2023, revealing priority areas for the development of the project’s ecosystem.

Aave’s version 3 was launched on May 8 on the Metis Network Layer 2, and had earlier been supported for deployment on the zkSync Era network.
