Trump Advocates for Bitcoin Mining in US

Reading Time: < 1 minute

During a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stressed his support for the US becoming a leader in Bitcoin production.

He believes this will help the country’s energy dominance and serve as a defense against CBDCs.

Trump, who was the first presidential candidate to accept cryptocurrency donations, met with executives from CleanSpark Inc. and Riot Platforms and stated that miners contribute to stabilizing the energy supply.

Bitcoin has a limited supply of 21 million, with 90% already mined, and is projected to continue until 2140, according to Coingecko.
