Uphold Launches Crypto Staking Services in US Again
Cryptocurrency exchange Uphold has reinstated its staking services in the United States, attributing the decision to changes in regulatory policies and a more supportive environment for digital assets.
Having resumed crypto staking in the United Kingdom in early February, Uphold announced on Monday, March 3, that it has now relaunched this feature in the US.
Starting on March 3, 2025, Uphold customers in the US will once again be able to earn staking rewards on 19 crypto assets, including Ether, Cosmos, and Polkadot, with rewards distributed weekly in the same cryptocurrency that is staked.
Uphold’s return to staking services is in response to more relaxed crypto regulations in the US, highlighted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dropping several crypto cases, notably those involving Coinbase, the largest crypto exchange in the country.
