Leading financial and crypto firms are applauding the FCA’s decision to end the UK’s retail ban on crypto ETNs. Ian Taylor of CryptoUK noted, “Until now, the UK has been an outlier on ETNs,” hoping the move will boost consumer protections.
The sentiment is shared by executives like Bitwise’s Hunter Horsley, who is “excited to be able to serve more investors.”
The world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock, is already positioning itself to enter the market, demonstrating the significant industry demand that has built up since the ban was enacted in 2019.
