Mercado Bitcoin will begin reopening customer accounts on Monday after a security breach that led to more than $46 million in stolen cryptocurrency, according to blockchain analysts.

The Brazilian exchange will initially allow users to check their balances, transaction statements, holdings and investments through its website. Trading and the ability to deposit and withdraw funds will return gradually after independent security tests.

The company said it would replenish all affected assets using its own resources. More than $15 million has already been frozen with help from other industry participants. Mercado Bitcoin is also preparing to buy back the affected assets in domestic and international markets.

Attackers moved funds from the exchange’s hot wallets and customer deposit addresses through standard transactions, according to the company’s earlier disclosure.
