Number of Active Users on Bitcoin Network Exceeds Ethereum’s: Report
The Artemis platform has found that, despite leading the blockchain rankings in terms of the number of DeFi protocols and NFT projects, Ethereum is second to Bitcoin in active wallet address numbers.
On September 15, the number of active users on the BTC network exceeded 800,000, while the ETH blockchain had only 378,000.
However, on September 13, there was a surge in ETH address activity, with the number of wallets participating in transactions close to 1.1 million, a level only seen twice in its history.
Santiment analysts have taken this to signify an end to the current bearish phase.
Nevertheless, BTC wallets decreased to 743,000 over the weekend.
On the other hand, Ethereum also surpasses Bitcoin in average transactions per day with 1 million versus 600,000 respectively on September 15, and 2.3 million on the ETH network observed on September 13.
